The COVID-19 crisis prompts San Francisco to enact a Shelter-In-Place order, limiting indoor gatherings. Raphael House puts safety protocols in places and limits its intake of families per city and government recommendations. Many in-person, group programs are paused.
Despite the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, Raphael House continues many of its services in virtual format without interruption, and introduces Financial Assistance for Family Stability Services. The purpose of these services is to provide financial assistance to families facing challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, Raphael House provides families with financial aid for rent, utility bills, food and clothing, educational/vocational training costs, childcare, and more.
Raphael House hosts its first ever virtual gala due to the COVID-19 crisis, and raises over $431,000 for families and our programs.
